Labor Day Project

Hmmm… I have this 1970’s looking tea light candle holder that has outgrown its cuteness and functionality. What to do with it… repaint it? give it away? Or, should I re-purpose it?

Well, I decided to re-purpose it~ into an indoor succulent container .

I took 3 nice looking hens n chicks out of the garden…

and gave each a home of their own in one of the glass candle holders.

Although I only have my phone’s camera to show off the end result… I’m pleased.

Looking smashing on the end of the short wall that separates my kitchen from my living room, this trio is bringing life, color and texture to an otherwise boring space.

Fern from Life on the Balcony {a most lovely blog about container gardening in small places} says that all the cool kids plant succulent containers.

I certainly think they’re cool!
